It is used to control obesity in people with high blood pressure, diabetes or high blood cholesterol level or any other condition.

Adipex Retard - Phenterminum resinatum - 100x contains an active ingredient i.e. Phentermine.

Phentermine is like an amphetamine. It is a stimulant and acts as an appetite suppressant. It acts on the central nervous system.It is used with diet and exercise to treat overweight in people with many risk factors like as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes. You should not use it if you have any heart disease i.e. stroke, high BP, heart failure, rhythm problem etc. You also should not use it if you previously have an overactive thyroid, glaucoma, a history of pulmonary hypertension. Do not use it if you have used MAO inhibitor in a fortnight. MAO inhibitors may be isocarboxazid, linezolid, rasagiline, or tranylcypromine.

It suppresses the appetite of a person so it is also known as an appetite suppressant.
